note to self

I have been on duty on Christmas Eve for the past three years. But I’ve been lucky enough to be able to go home on Christmas day instead.  Not this year.  You could say it’s because I made a choice.  I have no regrets.  I am glad about the choice I made.

I had a great Christmas day. A perfect Christmas day.

I hope to have the same perfect day next year and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that… and so on.

I just want you to know that whatever happens

I WILL ALWAYS CHOOSE YOU.

I wish I could see you today. I wish I could be with you on New Year. I wish I could be with you forever.

Yes, ok. I would like to convince myself that I don’t just have another year with you.  As much as I would like to say that I have a dream for both of us (and I do!) it’s a bit difficult to visualize it at the moment.  There’s just this warm and fuzzy feeling of being together but no clear picture in my head yet.

But as I said whatever happens I WILL ALWAYS CHOOSE YOU.

And as my previous reblogged post says distance is just a test to see how far love can travel.  I assure you, mine can go around the world many times.
